We do not do as much consulting as they do - it made sense for HP as HPE is 99% client billable, so people are on projects with clients all the time - they have no assets, no R&D, etc. They'll go and implement some mega stystem but it's all labor to the customer or client whatever they call it today. This group was easy to separate from HP's core business. VES is much more integrated with the rest of VZ, both Wireline and Wireless, so, truly, I think this will never happen
HP created a new group, called HP Enterprise, and they are separate from the mothership, here is their board here &hp-enterprise
