Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Retail Wireless store in Irvine CA? I went into the a Retail Wireless store in Irvine CA yesterday, and there were seven to eight employees, and

two or three customers. What do you think the long term outlook for retail is?

VZ owned and run retail stores made sense back in the recent hay days when wireless was in a growth phase. Today cell phones and cell phone service market has reached saturation resulting in brutal competition between wireless companies trying to survive. Within a few years people will buy their cell phone and cell phone service on Amazon or at Walmart. The financial insentive for wireless stores run by the wireless carriers themselves, is over.

Retail stores will be closed in Q1. Not sure which ones or how many.

The long-term outlook for Verizon is dim ... since it is managed and staffed by dim-wits
