Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

New Beginnings?

Anyone hear anything about this new group WBG? What makes it any different than VES..which we all know was a terrible culture. Are the people that were moved to this group doomed? How about the future of B2B? Been hearing the leftover B2B groups will move under retail? Thoughts??????

Front line sales would not be impacted Q4 2015 - yes. Verizon lives and dies by every quarter, so Q1 2016 is a whole new quarter and all bets are off. Plus you can't butcher front line sales before the holiday season. That would piss off the all powerful shareholders...

All I heard is retail stores will be closed in January or sometime in Q1. 20% reduction in stores across the board. Maybe with 20% fewer stores B2B will need to come in and support whats left of the retail channel? Also, a very very simple store design is being developed for remaining stores. The complete opposite of the over complex, over priced Smart Stores that have been a total failure. But as usual in the VZ world this is all rumor...
