Its time for the old timers to go. They've crippled the company enough.
The only language corporate la breakers understand is $$$$ . File EEOC Complaints when they age discriminate, follow up with lawyer action if eeoc caves. They may be good at concealing the facts but the odds of truth coming out is on justice's side. Do your part and file the complaint. Sooner or later their game of concealment will crumble.
This is directly from a VDSI job posting... Note the emphasis on the below-30 average age at VDSI in the last sentence.
"VDS India brings forth unmatched benefits of speed and flexibility. The IT applications being developed and maintained in seamless collaboration between India and US teams enable Operations Support Systems (OSS), Business Support Systems (BSS), Self-Service Solutions, Mobile/Field Workforce solutions, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) , Customer Care, New Products & Services and Remote Infrastructure Management among others. With the average employee age below 30, VDS India is a youthful organization and you can't miss its exuberance!"

even if rif'd, the people in their 50's are the lucky ones...nice 401k balances, close to social security...the survivors under 50 years of age have a scary future with vz or whatever it'll be called next...they'll be over-worked, under-paid and nowhere to go...just waiting for their rif
50+ and over 3 decades here. Don't want to be too specific with the vz Gestapo. Wearing my star of David until I can get the money.
Marissa Mayer is just the female version of lowell.
Marissa Mayer.... Lol..
oh it was definitely age discrimination, most definitely - everyone in my area that got chopped was over the age of 50
Given the bias, I wonder if the board might fire lowell and bring in Marissa Mayer from yahoo, in keeping with their anti male anit 50+ year old policies.
To be sure, the company is blatantly biased against 50 somethings, and particularly so if they are straight, white males of European extraction. The company does a pretty good job of covering their tracks. I do however believe that it will however catch up with them in the next administration, when they begin to investigate the mounting EEOC claims against the company for age and sex discrimination, H1B and green card abuses.
4 ou of the 5 oldest people in our unit were kicked out of the team, the 5 th one have 35 years with the company, all the others 20 plus years, all in their late 40's, sounds just le age discrimination, 2 weeks later we have newbies doing their job, no experience whatsoever
If you are in your 50's or close you are in trouble
