the managers are constantly harassing union folks
if you were let go, you won't get a new job with them - they flat out let go of most former GTE personnel, everyone over the age of 53 and the people they had already targeted by giving them bad reviews etc.....
Get yourself a H1B vsa. Then you can reapply for your job.
I've been hearing the same thing from coworkers who have applied for several positions and not even getting an interview. Things they were qualified for what a slap in the face. This person told me they're done with VZW as well. My job was impacted and so hard to think that I don't know how much thought went into it. People that have been there for couple years still have jobs while those have been there for 10 plus years were let go.
You already were terminated, and have no doubt that the HR turds and security watch this board.
If I sent Stratton an email telling him I didn't have a happy thanksgiving due to the fact I was laid off, could I be terminated?

That means that you make too much, or you are not PC enough. When they want you out, you are out. Most of those posted jobs have a lock on them anyway.
If they are trying to make budget cuts, which is the reason I was let go, then why would they want to hire more people? I say jump-ship before the ship sinks. The company is very corrupt now.
I am done with VZ as well.
Not in the union, I'm wireless. I'm applying for the same job, because mine has been eliminated, and my last day is 12/31. This one is similar, but in a different channel.

I am a union employee, however, the managers are constantly harassing us, fabricating lies and suspending us. I have been with the company for 16 years and this usually happens when its contract time, but I have never been through anything like this... not worth the stress and the impact on my health... I'm done.
