I am really surprised that people are not posting more messages on this Verizon Message Board as there is a ton of people who are very upset with what's going on with the company and where we are headed right now. I think most of the posters here are pretty timid, especially if I compare them with what I hear during my lunches with other folks that work with me. I think that people have lost trust in our management and that the company is trying to figure out in what direction to continue. Also, there is ton of benefits and perks that are getting worse every year, and for someone who's been with Verizon for almost 20 years this is very painful to watch. I would maybe understand the deterioration in benefits/perks if the pain was to be equality distributed between the executives and workers, but that's not hte case - the executives are making sure that they are not shortchanged and every year they take home more and more money. So, with all of this being said, look at the post on this Message Board. Most of the messages are kind of 'middle of the road' and 'I love Verizon' - yet, that's not what I am hearing in person.

But it takes a certain kind of stupid to post complaints about not getting info for police reports on a site designed for discussion of layoffs. People reading here probably have little interest in getting your issue addressed
Verizon when someone uses your identity to purchase cell phones $2,660.88, they will not give you a statement for the Police Department so you can do a identity theft report and clear your name. This policy is wrong and it hurt law abiding citizens. I am forced to take my case to the N Y Attorney General Office . This is an injustice to the people of this country.
I am very disappointed with the service this year. I upgrade 6 phones every two years. I went to the
Verizon store in West Palm Beach and got a sales representative that gave me wrong prices for 3 apple 4 mm watches (she told me the watches on good Friday were 250.00 each). This was wrong I found out a few days later. She also told me the Iphone X was the best deal in the store, the phone was on sale for 400.00. I questioned her several times regarding this information and was told the same. I purchased 2 X phones. I have talked to a least 6 representatives on the phone and the General Manager and I still don't know how much my bill will be. I am still very upset over this!!
Watch for conference rooms being booked, it may be too early but if you suspect your group may be hit you may want to check out who's booking conference rooms in November - if it's HR, be careful, be extra careful as layoffs may be coming in your nighborhood

@Anonymous185228....Yes, This is definitely the time to be friends with an Executive or Admin assistant to Director and above. Also any IT developer doing HR and Payroll (somebody has to code the severance payout (if any) and adjust time reporting systems)... Believe it or not some contractors know more about the RIFs than employees.

We don't have enough information. Something is going on in North East though. Friend stopped me to look at an org chart. Former Mothership Director moved to the Morristown location . . . Effective immediately (today) is based in Atlanta.

Also I think these leaks are coming from the Admins. They see a lot. A lot. That Admin over there sees only what their Directors and VP see. Another Admin sees something different.
