Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Its not money its out of touch poor management

They are actually laying off field personnel when they need them the most. The years of chasing bonuses 1st levels fudging numbers, 2nd levels not verifying the fudged numbers, 3rd levels believing 2nd levels, we all know that its miss management that's gotten Verizon to this point. Unfortunately its gotten to a level that its sure to implode, 44 outside technicians in PA were laid off, they couldn't keep up with the volume of work before now Verizon declared a service emergency, everyone's forced to work 7 days 12 hours a day. How can this be the NUMBERS said that we had excess of technicians, Hey Bobby Mudge UM MAYBE TAKE ANOTHER LOOK AT YOUR NUMBERS YA MORON

Too many people have been promoted simply because they won't rock the boat....unfortunately, the boat's needed rocking for quite sometime.

Now, too many members of the regional, area and HQ leadership team only worry about ensuring they remain in their roles to receive their LTIs.....

We have ended up with very average leaders who can read out well in ops reviews when times are good, but lack the skills and daring necessary to change results when times are tough.

Aren't OSP folks union workers? I thought VZ can not layoff union workers.
