Verizon layoff management employees every 6 months. They have a policy to refresh the staff by about 10% every year. However, this time it will be big given the 1. slowness and maturity of wireless and 2.sellout of three states of wireline business and 3.major hiring in the new product org. They are expanding the new incubating Tech areas to target millenials and unconventional business verticals like healthcare, transportation, smart cities, while reducing traditional and mature businesses like wireline and wireless.
Everything will be communicated by Nov5th.
Hearing wireless going to 3 areas, laying off RPs and possible District level at retail. Can someone confirm??
Hearing at least 100 in the Russo org. My team lost a person last payday. Hearing transport T2 will lose 8 or 9. Next notification will be the 8th.
If it happens, should be around 5.7% .....IF..... could be a lot less, or none at all. But the trickle down reorg rif's will go on, and on and on.
Notifications in Nov, first week of Nov.
Somebody mentioned management layoffs? Any truth in this?
I still see no proof of any layoffs
Go ahead and plot out what the SEC filed 10-K and 10-Q forms say about the number of employees. The facts don't lie: http://www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/edgarguide.htm The SEC requires by law reporting the following: Number of employees and anticipated material changes in the number of employees in various departments.
There are layoffs going on. The current officers will go down in history as laying more people off than any of their predecessors.
