There is an opportunity, I am not unhappy with VZ but considering jumping the ship for more money.

Having worked at both I'd tell you that there is very little difference when it comes to key and important things. The way how AT&T operates on a daily basis, tasks, processes, management styles, etc, is a bit different, but when you look at the big picture its pretty much the same thing.

I work at AT&T and we just surplused 5,000 managers a month ago. We are going the same route as Verizon and AT&T expects to reduce managers by 50-60%. They call it Vision 2020, going from a hardware based solution to a software based solution. So, if I'm lucky I will be there until 2020 but expect to be cut then. But I could be cut at any time really. The techs are the same way but are getting much better buyouts.
