Looks like a good percentage of the posts on here are pure fiction, just spouting rumors and arbitrary numbers. Example - Nothing has been reported, anywhere, if it had been reported in any group, the person reporting it would be history. Person that are impacted will not receive any numbers until they receive their package and that comes AFTER everything is made public. ...but the rumors of something going on around Nov 5 is somewhat accurate, but exactly what that is remains to be seen. The only thing that's for certain is that re orgs are constant, sometimes your org'd into a new job, sometimes you're org'd out of one, but either way, Verizon is a great company to work for with benefits that put other companies to shame.
I agree, You can almost tell which posts are by Union members versus Management. (The Joe Schmuck website commentors seemed to have moved to this forum) This is doing nothing more than airing VZ's internal employee business in Public. Time to move on, the days of working for a company 20+ years ARE OVER. It is not VZ's responsibility to care for you for life, Verizon does not owe you anything, You were paid very well to do the job you were hired for, Truth be told, VZ does not train you to do anything else except telecom work so it was up to you to keep current with skills required by any outside private industry. Yes I was Rif'd too but I worked to live, not lived to work. ...lets keep comments civil.
