Ahh less we forget the record breaking 4th Quarter last year and the 10% RIF across the board in support roles on the wireless side this past Feb.
Cannot have one board for a company that's so diversified, some groups will do better than others
Yeah, we'll get gold pins, gold stars and gold watches. Tap on the back. give me a break. they continue to adjust the workforce, things like security, content, iot, will continue to grow. wireline is screwed, they will offload them in no time, layoffs and frontier transfers. some other oursources will pick up the back office slack. that's what gonna happen, so it'll be uneven, some groups will flourish while other will get fed big time. there is no one verizon, we are a collection of interrelated business - some will live, some will die, that's kind of how things work. if you are in wireline, you should ask yourself where you will be 5 years from now, you may want to retool and look into your skills. if you are over 55 you are kind of fed, sorry to say that, but regardless, you are f***ed. i truly think that iot will explode over next 5 years, there will be a ton of growth on that side, really this will mostly come from businesses, hey man, count all parkingmeters in the country each of them needs a wireless connection, shit, my toaster needs to connect somehow, ipads, stuff like that, that's the future
