With the benefit of hindsight I think we can see what a blatant scam the Workforce2020 thing was. When I started they were pushing the Coursera courses, then Udacity, then Nanodegrees, then AT&T University. They kept moving the goal posts. It was yet another ploy to mask a greedy executive plan to cut headcount in fluffy, feel good employment pseudopolicies. The cynicism of our bloated executive suite is boundless.

The bottom line is that they want people gone. Remember ,, it's all about money , stock price , and less over head. In the end they can say that they offered training to its employees for better jobs in the company. My question is ,,,, what jobs ?

I see my coworkers running like chicken without heads, looking for the training badges! Soo sad, the . 2020 training is a well planned plot, they just string you along making you think you have an opportunity and the like, of couse many peple will be employed, but make sure you are needed, (remember if you dont have a plan, someone else will have you in theirs, taking your ideas and accomplishments, and making them theirs, at the end of the day you must be prepared when you get the call, The Udacity nanodegrees was a ploy too. Folks, the chances of keeping your wireline job are numbered and looking elsewhere is your only hope. The outrageous propaganda of ATT as of late is sickening! It isnice to see folks on here are awake to these facts. Good luck!

It's a total lie. I was a programmer on a programming team. Our team was merged with another team and we were all told we aren't allowed to program anymore. Most of us have left the company now. AT&T doesn't want employees trained in the skills they say they do or they wouldn't be chasing us out. The 2020 thing is just an excuse to get rid of a bunch of employees, nothing more.
