The VZ mgmt has come up with 2 things to increase share holder value (and their bonus). 1. Sell off low yield assets 2. Downsize the staff. Selling assets will not work because they made wireless business as bad as the rest of the business units. If they are selling of bad assets then they need to include wireless as well in the list.

Amazing that a successful, evolving business would adopt the same framework and operating methodology of one that was dying. They were determined, for better or worse, to make wireless the same as wireline. Typical conceit of management far removed from the actual business. Their idea was going to be implemented whether it was a good one or not.
The day they shifted VZW employees to the VZ personnel structure forever changed the mentality of the workforce, and not for the better. A lot of, "collecting my paycheck" permeated teams that before concentrated on results. All the effort and pride behind what had been built quickly evaporated as it was obvious the VZ way would push out the VZW way. It's been a depressing slide into mediocrity since.
Agree with that, every change we have adopted from the wireline since the Vodafone deal has made things worse
