Let us face the bitter truth. American business and, possibly, private business everywhere else in the world, has one thing in common with the world's oldest profession. Both prefer only younger workers. Replacing older workers with younger ones with or without experience (they can always be trained and groomed) has been going on in the American labor market for generations. Outsourcing and nationality of the replacement is only incidental to the perennial obsession with cost-cutting endemic in the American way of doing business. You would not be affected only if you own the business yourself. At the same time, Americans must not lose their sleep over Indians stealing their jobs. It is just a matter of time before the humdrum jobs which make up the bread and butter of all the outsourcing (aka body-shopping) outfits get gradually automated and all these outfits die a natural death. Debates are already taking place on which jobs robots will take over and the outsourced jobs are the prime candidates for this eventual transition from humans to robots. The outsourced jobs will certainly return but the American humans will still be left out in the cold because the robots will rule the roost!

It's a problem being discussed this election cycle, hopefully we'll get someone in office that will address it. I'm all for finding the best person for the job, I'm also for paying everyone equally, so when offshore and onshore people are required to be paid the same, I suspect the TATA consultant loop holes won't be as enticing or even something worth pursuing.

There are a number of bills being floated that will plug the holes, most will be blocked by lobbyists with interests in maintaining a slave labor force that enables corporate America to line their pockets with the sweat of foreign nationals at the expense of domestic workers.
India us a 3rd world country that runs its hospitals on diesel generators and they shit in holes. They try to lecture US PhDs in Verizon but produce shitty code and waste millions/billions of dollars annually! They ask to have their feet washed as part of project expenses.

Let us place the blame where it belongs. This law was created by the congress and the senate. It is legal for American companies to replace American workers with H-1b visa holders. We need to vote with our votes. Find out if your congressmen and senators support the h-1b. If they do, vote them out. Simple. Find out the position of the candidates running for president. If they support the h-1b visa, eliminate their position. Simple. Don't blame the companies or the h-1b visa holders. They are following the law to their benefit and you would do too if you were in their situation. The politicians who are beholden to these companies are to blame.
