I don't feel managers do as much as the employees now day, most don't even know the job the people are doing and cant help a worker bee. training is now peer to peer. low line Managers are just around to shuffle paper and watch and snitch on the workforce.so sad........

My Houston call center imitating 200+ jobs, ATT will continue offshoring American jobs, and will be final by Nov. 21, most of the affected employees are in their 50's, and the cuts are expected to be permanent as far as head count is concerned, While the company continue hiring newbies, with no pension, lower benefits and lower salaries, Way to go ATT!!

I heard of buyout packages for some techs and they will be told in mid October. But we heard those with about 40 years will get close to 95 weeks of pay to go. I know about 4 techs who have been waiting for this. I'm not sure if the OP was talking about managers or techs being surplussed but we probably have about 10 techs who would take the package, but I doubt they would offer that many. Managers don't get anything as good as the union does when suplus happends.
