Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Found a new job!

Well, that didn't take long. A few days out of AT&T and I already found a programming job paying more than twice what I was making at AT&T. The 2020 stuff was such garbage. They talked endlessly about wanting programmers who could learn on the fly and then laid off people who had those skills and could do better for themselves on the open market. So, for anyone else who was laid off, stay strong! There are much better jobs out there! I actually had several great offers and had to make a choice between way better options than AT&T ever was.

I was with the company for 7 years. I was in ATO. I'm not willing to identify more than that. But finding a new job paying twice as much wasn't very hard. And I get to work for smart people who actually understand technology! We had a long conversation about sockets and pipes today and they knew what I was talking about! This is a dream compared to AT&T!

Well said, and congratulations!!, the BIG reason employees will leave ATT in the next 4 years, is Loss of confidence in their leadership,

Obviously the best and brightest will be on the lookout for opportunities to jump ship, everyone else get ready for a bumpy ride.
