We had received word that 20% of CO managers were being laid off in the Midwest. Wondering who is making the deciding factor? How are they chosing who is staying and who goes?

Been there 24 years I was foolish over the last few years that it actually meant something.
I actually started to believe in the whole 2020 re-tooling thing .

With managers seniority would not be considered as much as recent appraisals.
CO mgrs have so many offices and techs they are assigned to. So will seniority play a huge role in this? How will the company avoid the discrimination of the workers that have been there for 15 plus years?
I think Job redundancy is the number one criteria..Too many managers with few direct reports
