Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

A group of us were told that more layoffs were coming to the US call centers, some my be shut down others will lose employees. Our calls are being monitored more closely (probably so they can decide who goes and who stays). were told more management layoffs coming as well. Our center is very slow still, usually busy on Saturday but not like we used to be. We were told that May 16th was the last day for some of the outsourcing offices, and that by May 31 all would be gone so that will keep the ATT main call centers busy. I feel bad for the ones that have lost their jobs. Att say it is because of the data breach, i am sure that is part of it, but I believe it is because of the merger w/ DirectTV and the Mexican Lusacel. There will always be layoffs when a company has a merger. I saw another ;post, not sure where it wast saying a large amount of layoffs will happen during 3Q. I guess time will tell. My wife is pregnant w. our 3rd child she is very worried, I pray we all keep our jobs.
