Does anyone know when this will be across all organization for all employees L1+? Do they plan on communicating this at some meeting at some point so we can plan accordingly?

"Yes. I know multiple bargained for employees that are working from home due to accomodations".
Just to be clear, they will force managers back disabled w/ accomodation? Thank you for response.
"Do you know if they will force someone w/ disability and a wfh accomodation back to office? I'm disabled vet. Thanks."
Yes. I know multiple bargained for employees that are working from home due to accomodations.
"HR here, most of the VP's orgs are going either 1/2/25 or 1/6/25". Do you know if they will force someone w/ disability and a wfh accomodation back to office? I'm disabled vet. Thanks.

Send packages to the office. On company time, on company dime.
"If they REALLY wanted people to leave in droves they could save time & money with RTO schemes and just offer some incentive."
Yes! Stankey was really short-sighted when he took away the medicare bridge for younger retirees a few years ago. There would be a lot more people retiring if he would have left that benefit in place."
- SO TRUE!!!! I am in my 60s. I WANT TO LEAVE BUT STANK MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE. I would have left voluntarily by now if Stank had left that alone. Now I am just waiting for doing the bare minimum hoping it puts me on the layoff list but not the termination list. If I had the medical stipend, I would have said Goodbye once RTO announcement came out last year. Now, I am limping my way to Medicare eligibility before I retire.

The time frame for part of the workforce in Atlanta is summer 2025 as the 2 buildings at Lenox will not be finished before June.
All of us will be required to adhere starting January 2025.
It’s not and never will be company wide. It’s specific to every organization. Those where they need people to quit most go to 5 days. Others stay at 2-3 days.
“ Cheung Org (Under J. Robertson) was just told Start 1/6/2025 5x Week Min: 6 Hours”
Lucky. We were told eight a day. Six would help with the rush hour traffic for sure. Oh well, I guess the plus side of eight is that my laptop will never go home. Locked down in my cube forever.
“ They will also be pinging laptops 3-4 times a day and supervisors will have access to view their teams. It will also show if someone is not reporting to the correct location“
All of the above is already in place. Makes me think this person is a fraud.
"good luck getting employees 5x8hr in the office in winter time with constant days having temps below -5 as last winter"
We can’t drive a warm car in the winter? Many thousands of us work outside. Try working storm damage before you cry about how cold it is outside.
If they REALLY wanted people to leave in droves they could save time & money with RTO schemes and just offer some incentive. Anything more than standard severance and folks will be lining up to take the offer.

“6 months is on the table to be reviewed so if you have been here 13+plus years you would get 3 months instead of 6 months paid out.”
Tell him to try it in NJ and see what happens. We’re guaranteed 1 week per year of service by law
“In addition for first quarter they will be looking at severance guidelines. 3 months vs. 6 months is on the table to be reviewed so if you have been here 13+plus years you would get 3 months instead of 6 months paid out.”
Does the Stank intent to violate New Jerseys severance law to accomplish this? We are guaranteed 1 week for every year of service by law.
I had to walk to work. Up hill. Both ways. In the snow. And you whine about driving.
HR here, most of the VP's orgs are going either 1/2/25 or 1/6/25. Some of the orgs were so bad implementing the 3-day requirement and starting in Nov or Dec so they get off the radar. They will also be pinging laptops 3-4 times a day and supervisors will have access to view their teams. It will also show if someone is not reporting to the correct location. Starting 1st quarter disipline letters will be given for those who dont comply. Call it a 3 strike rule before termination (WW, FWW, Term). In addition for first quarter they will be looking at severance guidelines. 3 months vs. 6 months is on the table to be reviewed so if you have been here 13+plus years you would get 3 months instead of 6 months paid out. The overall goal is to get to the headcount # that JS is set on hitting and do be aggressive in the 1st quarter to get there, fun times await us all for 2025.

Haven't been 5x8 since 2002, but fine...
it's not really about the 5x8.
Improvise, adapt and overcome. It's not going to be the thing that stops me.
what will T do when the next plandemic starts in april crippling their RTO plans
Shut up. Get to work.

“ Pre-covid I was FTW. Now I’m in office 3x and don’t talk with anyone because all my meetings are teams calls with no one in the office that I need to interact with. I’m in Lenox btw. Team is regional scattered across the country. Now going 5x per week, just to sit on more teams calls in an open office for no reason. Thats my problem with it. There is no point in me taking up a desk here.”
You get paid the same as the people having to be in office 5 days, that’s why it’s happening.
I think the company should provide the option.
Example:
In office 5 days- $100k
In office 3 days- $85k
Work from home- 75k
"It’s really not the fact of in the office 5 days a week, but herding us into a few dozen spots."
Cmon now. I work in an office with plenty of room. Management is still crying just as much about RTO. Drop the not enough desks excuse. It's disingenuous.

Full-time employees whining about having 40-hour work week requirements enforced.
You gots to work in da office.
This isn't going to work. Who will get my Amazon packages off my porch during the day?
It’s really not the fact of in the office 5 days a week, but herding us into a few dozen spots.
Unreal.
Before Covid 5 days was the norm.
This is a corporate model not specific to AT&T.
That doesn’t make it not true. It just means that other corporations are also run by pieces of cr-p like Stankey and Jeremy Turkey Legg.
"good luck getting employees 5x8hr in the office in winter time with constant days having temps below -5 as last winter"
HA hA hA. Humans have been on the planet for 300,000 years but all the sudden we can't handle winter. Grow a set.
Its happening 1/1/2025. You might as well start planning now even if you haven't been told yet.
They'll let you know the day before it happens.

Warm up car. Drive in to work. Work. Warm up car. Drive home. What a crazy concept.
“There is a special place in he-l for John Stankey.”

Relax it will change soon enough - it’s a cycle
We will be given the shortest time frame the law will allow.
They want to make it painful.
They NEED quitters
There is a special place in he-l for John Stankey. He has an absolute loathing for the employees and will continue do to everything possible to make your lives miserable.
He gets off on this stuff which may work for him now, but he has a higher power to answer to.
