@ 3gvv+1vmQ1D2F you do realize Nike is a global company who also sells goods abroad? The entire success of the company shouldn’t be based on one market. That would set us up for failure.

For anyone who voted for Trump and his tariffs, you do realize that you voted against Nike being able to rebound? Nike makes its goods abroad, and that is what tariffs will apply to - anything that has to be imported. So, when Nike has to do yet more layoffs because you voted for this, nothing personal, but I hope y’all that are proud of this are the first ones out the door.

From one European whose been around for a while to another.

There are plenty of Nike employees who are conservative and even voted for Trump. You will never hear them talk about it publicly especially on campus. Nike is a very progressive company and publicly expressing conservative views is bad for your career here. As much as they claim Nike is a safe space, the reality is it is only safe if you share the same progressive values.
Conservative employees will go as far as pretending to be progressive because opposing views are so aggressively suppressed.

No offense to anyone, but I’m from one of the EMEA countries and just recently moved to WHQ. I noticed that over 50% of people voted for DJT, but I can’t seem to find anyone here at Nike who’s happy about it. Why does everyone look so upset and frustrated today? Is it just because Oregon is a blue state?

I imagine all Nike employees crying today about the election and then 5 mins later ordering more shoes from Chinese child slave labor

Shall all offices around the world give “a day to process” their election when they happen?

I was just going to this website to say the same thing. I thought conditions were bad, but to have leadership ignore the election and force us to come in and pretend everything is okay without addressing us is stunning. This is a huge miss.
