101 uses for "gold" coins and acrylic cubes

I'll start - I utilized mine at my rifle range. FWIW, the acrylic cubes completely disappear when stuck by a 150gr. 30/30. Not a shard to be found.

I walked around CIC putting all of my WF swag in cubicles all over building 3 just before we were all leaving for COVID. I had a bunch of marketing stuff as well that I placed everywhere. Hundreds of items. Who knew we would never come back to the same environment, I'm sure a lot of that ended up in the trash with the cubicle changes. Oh well, I tried.

A lot of swag was laying around, but mainly because Shart was busy stealing the soul of the company, and everyone that's left is to worried that they are next to care about much of anything. The timing of COVID and lockdowns is just coincidental.

Other 'retirees' I know use them as ball markers on the putting greens..............

Me? I never rose to the level of gold coin recipient.

Although, I DO have a wells fargo Viewmaster Viewer.

Cheers!

haha, long story short. My "Gold Coin" went in the office trash can about a year after I won it.

@ftv I've been here over two decades, so you can imagine my surprise when, in my third year, I saw hanging scrolls on cube walls displaying 1-year anniversary pins. I think I finally got one and a scroll at 10 years. Then at 15, I got the useless acrylic cube.

Lol, never got a cube. On my first day more than 10 years ago I saw all the cubes in peoples' cubicles. I thought, "How cool. Hope I last 5 years and get one. A lot of cubes, people tend to say". At 5 years I learned they, "Only do cubes at 10 years now to save costs". I hit 10 years, all the people I started with are gone, and found out no more cubes at all - just some weird "loyalty points" to spend like Chuck E. Cheese's tickets on branded bullsh-t in a Recognition Store. Some brain dead MBA in Hudson Yards got paid a lot of money for "disrupting the recognition game as we know it".

I found out I'm part of a location "strategy" wave next year. Sort of a metaphor for all the disappointment and wasted potential in my career at the bank. Charlie - take my (now metaphorical) cube and shove it up your a-s, you worthless hack.

After covid, you could grab all kinds of swag -- gifts/souvenirs. No one seemed to want it anymore.
