I love it when they tell you, it is nothing personal, you are great, but it is business decision. our group got sla-ghtered and let go of great people for Core Market strategy cr-p, the ones they kept were new members and not the best.
Letting us go and hiring like crazy in India for the same work. I just have to say Karma is a bi--h.

My career/job/position does not define me. The sooner you realize that the freer you will be. There is no karma. A corporate entity is not a being. This machine will go on with or without all of us. There will always be someone smarter, faster, better, whatever even though everyone thinks they are the best. So that means the moment you started here you were already the top employee? Time to get over yourself, understand that no matter what you are a cog in the wheel. A fa-t in the wind of time, do what makes you happy because you are literally nothing.

After losing too many good ones, our error/failure rate went from 1% to 25% in past year.
The offshore hires and new domestic employees obtained through re-orgs are looking at everything with a fresh set of eyes and are very green. Ignorance is bliss, so I can't blame them for showing up and just hitting buttons and collecting a paycheck.
For the rest, the big tragedy is the bank no longer requires much from us. Moot is our previous years of high quality output, high success rates and the feeling of accomplishment that goes along with it.
So unfortunately, I am now a new hire that can't benefit from ignorance. Awful combination that I'm sure many can relate to.

Talent is important, but really depends on where you live lol. Place is so strange letting go of folks who have way more experience than their peers just because you’re not in a hub. Either way if location strategy doesn’t get you offshoring will.
