Has anyone heard about operations centers closing in the future? Shoreview, Oxmoor, etc.?

We will eventually be moving to a hybrid cloud model (private and public) with MS Azure.

Do you mean core and regional, still just the four newbies? Wow.
They are remodeling Shoreview, I assume to accommodate more people so they can close other locations. There are people there but everyone has different requirements about RTO.
The tech hub in Columbus isn’t a DC. By the end of 2028, there will only be four DCs. Two in Texas and two in Virginia.
There is a DC in CIC. Many labs are located there. It’s been there since the Wachovia (if not First Union) days.
@kfy+1tqtWtp8, the moderators removed my post too even though I didn't say anything wrong. Because these id--ts removing many good posts, other posters in the thread are getting confused.
@bzp+1tqtWtp8, Shoreview and Oxmoor are data centers, not business ops centers. The facilities are mostly filled with main computer servers, there aren't many people. I don't know why the id--tic moderators deleted my post.
I think OP meant data centers because Shoreview and Oxmoor are known as a big mainframe data center rather than a LOB operations center.
Are we confusing Ops Centers with Data Centers? I'm assuming the OP meant actual Ops Centers like a Jordan Creek, CIC, STL, Chandler, Concord
@ace+1tqtWtp8, it is not wise to choose the data center location to meet a tax break requirement. For the purpose of disaster recovery and business continuity planning, each data center needs to be strategically placed in different regions.
A lot of incorrect information has been floating around. But I know that tech developers are all required to have a cloud certification because WF has been planning on migrating the physical data center to a third party cloud system in the future.
Sure, but there isn't a DC at the CIC either, so when someone starts posting dates for site closings and they have two locations that aren't even accurate, it speaks to credibility.
Not according to the schedule our team is working with.
Nope. Core data centers are going before the regional. Core, except Tempe, Tempe must be emptied out by end of 2027.
Tempe and then the regional data centers by the end of 2028.
Tempe. I’m sure you can figure it out since it’s only 15 miles away.
Thank you for sharing. When is the Columbus hub tax break agreement between WF and Ohio set to expire?

WEC is not 2028, much sooner than that. I am a part of these discussions/decisions.
There's a data center in Chandler? Don't think so.
Tech isn’t going to a third party. Some of it may. But Wells Fargo is building out Columbus as a tech hub and has requirements to meet for the tax break.
Shoreview, Oxmoor, Silas end of 2027
WEC, Chandler, CIC, STL end of 2028.
We're opening several new DCs. Not sure if that means that the old ones go or not, or if so when. Anyone know the timeline?
Moving to Cloud.
Data center exits are said to be a part of the standing plan. Preparatory actions are underway. There have been rumors of this actvity being a precursor to transitioning the Technology function to a third party eventually.
Yes, lots
