Thread regarding CVS layoffs

The executives failings are always your fault at the bottom

Many years ago, bosses took responsibility for failures. The idea of “the buck stops here”, is the idea that the boss makes the decisions and takes responsibility for those decisions. At CVS, Aetna, and all the other CVS owned businesses, that’s not the case. The executives failings are always your fault at the bottom. Meanwhile the corporate honchos can do no wrong and always get rewarded even when stuff goes bad.

So true, @cnw+1t9rOzPL.

When was the last time you saw a supposed “leader” say they made a mistake or that they were wrong? Have you heard a politician, for instance, speak this way in the past 25 years? For those pumped with hubris, self-reflection is seen as a weakness. They expect you to be the one admitting to mistakes that they create.

Some years ago, there was major troubles at one of the big railroad companies. The CEO publicly blamed the employees for the company crisis, saying that things were so bad because they weren't doing things his way. What the media didn't know was that this particular CEO was known for being a big time cost-cutter. So he comes in, cuts everything down to nothing, cracks down on employee scheduling making it harsh and rigid, no maintenance, longer trains, less crews, etc, etc. And all of this in the name maximizing profits for Wall Street shareholders. But he damaged the business, just to make it look good on paper for Wall Street.

Sound familiar? cough cough cvs

Tim Gurner put it well the only people who are people are the CEOs everyone else is trash. So not just This company. Why do we need workers anymore? To waste their money? Why should the CEOs pay taxes? Why should CEOs care about anything more important than themselves.. now I need another World Vacation, a yacht, sports car..

This time it’s the members fault as they dared to use the insurance they pay for. From go go boots to the used car salesman President, it’s wild they pass this off to member utilization. Isn’t that their top priority to understand??
