Technology organization

Most of us wouldn’t survive the layoffs by end of year.

I’m at the point where a package for a year would be fine with me. Would give me time to figure out the next phase of life/career.

It’s frankly one cluster f@@k after another. A year from now we’ll still be talking about the same things as we are now. We’ve flattened the org to some extent but we’ve also brought in plenty of new leaders that are horrible and plenty of principle level techs that I’m amazed are at that level. Saul and others did a number on tech that is now being rebuilt in some areas bc of audits etc.

Brigit will bring in her team that she can trust and then those folks will do the same. Get ready for BNY and Lehman invasion as well as BofA.

After the last round of layoffs and their horrible impact, I'm worried I WILL "survive" the next round of layoffs. Even with this dreadful tech jobs market, I'd rather be displaced with a year of severance than have to deal with the remaining levels of management who are unwilling to lead and instead point to every other level of management in their chain as needing to solve the problems senior "leaders" have created.

This organization is now far too top-heavy and severely lacks accountability, knowledge, and foresight. The big-picture crew clearly doesn't understand what it takes to operate a bank.

I mean, they can't lay off all of technology, but it WILL be a bloodbath! Just not everyone.

Many people not only survive the layoff notice, they actually thrive when released from such a negative, poorly managed company.

When dealt the bad hand simply fold it and move on to the next one. Why worry about something you have no control over? If WF is as bad as many of these messages are saying, getting let go could be a blessing in disguise.

Shuffle up and deal!
