If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.

If you are on a small team, your manager can figure it out. I know I made a couple comments last year and they definitely made it to our team call.
That’s my approach with the surveys
It’s as anonymous as this website
You can not take a survey & still show up as having completed it - I did this all the time in my last org. All you have to do is 'next' through each page without checking any answers and submit it.
If you think it’s anonymous, go ahead and and input what you like.
Anything you say or do on the internet is documented and monitored by corporate security and it can and will be used against you to justify disciplinary action up to and including dismissal. Your last paycheck and any unused vacation time will be withheld to cover costs of your dismissal. All records of your existence shall be purged and you will be replaced by cheap offshore subcontractors. The company will deny you ever were employed or were known to exist. Your life shall return to its meaningless little orbit somewhere in your tiny universe where you can just go worm hooks and become a master at baiting.
"...why do you have to enter your UUID course they can see what you’re saying and who it is..."
I get that this is a hard point for many to see past. And yes, you have to enter your UID.
The UID is used to capture the participation rate of the teams.
"Could" they attribute specific comments to a UID? Of course they could. I am quite sure someone would come knocking if you threatened violence against someone or something like that.
I am just saying that in 20 plus years of being involved with these, I have never seen a report that correlates specific comments to a specific UID. Nor have I had someone above me a L2 come to me expressing concerns about a specific UID's comment.
I am not trying to be "pro survey" here or encourage anyone to do anything either way, just stating facts.
Funny thing is if it’s so anonymous why do you have to enter your UUID course they can see what you’re saying and who it is
" They can definitely drill down to a specific team. Not sure if they can get more granular than that, but knowing a specific team...."
^^^^ This is it, 100%. I have been involved with the surveys as a manager of people for 20+ years.
Have never seen specific comments attributed to specific UID's.
Not once.
You can absolutely see the participation percentage of your team, hence all of the "encouragement" to participate, as Directors and above are pushed hard on that metric.
You can also see specific comments made by your team members (again, not tied to the specific UID) and accordingly, f you have been around these people a while, you can fairly easily discern who is saying what.
But I have never been asked to follow up with or reprimand a specific person based on specific comments.
People that are stating that they were contacted by a VP etc, re: their comments are just making that up.
Don’t be afraid to tell the truth. Don’t allow T to intimidate you.
I always give excellent as marks with the caveat that I was instructed to do so by management to avoid retribution.
I once got an email addressed to me asking why I hadn’t filled out the anonymous survey.
If T doesn’t want to know, then don’t ask!
T can’t handle the truth.
Who cares, just tell them they su-k if you think they su-k.
They’re gonna lay everyone off anyways, at least if they target you for retaliation you have a lawsuit on your hands and can file a suit for retaliation. Keep the original survey request, fill it out honestly but not overly hostile and if they come after you sue and then take a vacation.
I always fill these out honestly and am usually very negative and no one has said anything to me about it. You’re all a bunch of fearful sheep.
Tired topic.
you go thru global login
This is all that needs to be said about anonymity. They are absolutely tracking the "promoters" and "detractors" in the company.
you go thru global login and you can't take the survey more than once you don't think they can drill down on you
Why is it described as anonymous?
They can definitely drill down to a specific team. Not sure if they can get more granular than that, but knowing a specific team, especially when it is one who typically only has 10 to 13 people on it is enough to say they DO know. Speaking from knowledge after the team I was on was called to the mat due to our bad responses.
That is correct. I once got a IM from my 6th level because of the feedback survey. Scared the C R A P out of me. So they know exactly who is saying what.
BTW - go F*ck yourself - Stink!
