Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF is where the really bad managers & "bankers" come to excel

They're all still here too.

The way they’re being coached/held accountable right now has them all scared to death everyday. It really is a thankless job.

Retail branch mgrs lack any type of business knowledge- complete embarrassment—can I get a smile?
(for those who don’t know —that phrase is yelled out by tellers to get an approval)

The root cause of most angst with managers and employees of all departments is a complete disinvestment in a healthy HR system. HR is the glue that binds a company together. Their whole field of expertise is to know how to effectively manage human resources.

Wells Fargo has been so deliberate about cutting corners, playing this game of "how far can we take things before people start launching nukes at each other?".

The company is about execs getting paid no matter what, everyone else can quit if they don't like it.

In tech, it is where managers are turned into facilitators. It is where they learn bad practices (such as lack of testing). It is where they isolate themselves from new methodologies (such as agile). It is where they learn that to survive you sell out; to JPM, to P&I, etc.

Not all branch managers are horrible- there’s a few that are so clueless- I truly don’t understand how WF hired them!

Or if they weren't bad managers before going to WF, they will be.
