Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Who will buy the scraps of AT&T?

We know it's coming. AT&T can only fail at this point. We just don't know exactly how long it will take.

It addition to not knowing when, we also don't know who will swoop in to pick the usable assets from the quickly decomposing corpse of T. Any bets on who that will be?

ATT will survive. C-Suite will lay off everyone and outsource all the work at 1/3 of the market value. 1/3 goes to C-Suite, 1/3 goes to shareholders.

Putting aside all the stupid answers, the most likely candidate to buy AT&T is BlackRock.

Wireline services will be obsolete in less than 10 years. SD WAN is the future of Telecommunication Services. allows enterprises to leverage any combination of transport services — including MPLS, LTE and broadband internet services — to securely connect users to applications. 5G in a nutshell, Fiber combined with Microcells creates a mesh network.

Best plan is to double down on wireline, POTS, and monthly phone rental. Rumor has it the recent dot-com bubble is just a passing fad, and before long, companies like Amazon and Netflix will be go bust and revert to doing business by telephone and snail mail once again. Before that happens, though, T should invest a few billion in myspace.com, just in case their predictions are wrong. I also hear Sonic burger is looking for a buyer.

Private equity buyout followed by sale of spectrum and wireless assets to Verizon and T-mobile. Wireline will be sold to a government subsidized carrier.

AT&T has become the laughing stock of the entire business community. Stankey had best ride this company into the ground declaring chapter 11, his days of being employed are over. There is not a company anywhere that would hire him, not even as an entry level assembly line worker.

Those who say nobody will want all the debt…that’s true. However, they’ll break it up (piece meal) and spread the remaining debt (like peanut butter). The only way these incessant debacles + (subsequent “rewards” for such) makes any sense is that it’s all by design.
