I heard this morning from someone in tech that the firm is now monitoring pings and emails to identify trends related to ongoing negativity. Anyone hear the same?

@cun+1swiroFA, the bank is constantly in hot water because the corrupt leadership is giving bad instructions to their direct reports. The sole purpose of employee monitoring is to make sure their staff employees are following the instructions to the letter. Nothing more.

@1dro this is correct the team exists but not correct (per others on here) that simply typing certain words triggers any huge deal. They contacted me regarding something someone IM’d me about another group not taking a risk seriously. They were clearly investigating based on what they read via IM. They asked a few questions and moved on. It certainly was not over typing the word complaint.
Can confirm that there is an Employee Monitoring team. They actually posted an opening on that team a couple years ago. No idea how big it is, or exactly what “monitoring” it does. But we know for certain that it does exist.

I have executive office complaints sent to me for limited reasons and I say “complaint” about 20 times each time. lol….via email, via IM, via yelling at my laptop because EO people are goofy sometimes. I mean, what pre tell is gonna happen? Shart’s gonna pop out from behind the trash can? Why do you all care anyway? Doo your job and type COMPLAINT all you want!

E-comms monitoring, have been around for years. Monitor Teams IM, email, etc.
Funny the other day I emailed a co-worker "I'll take a look as soon as I get home" (was about to leave the office), then while still at my desk, my computer started acting funny. There is definitely some type of monitoring going on.
Since 100% of the "ongoing negativity" is the direct result of Hudson Yards failed leadership, they might want to look in the Fing mirror.

At my site, we now are body scanned coming in, and have to turn over our personal device passcodes upon entering
They were always monitoring. Some keywords are caught and read by relevant teams. Try to say "I will text you on this to your personal mobile" and see how fast you are getting a warning
you should always assume that every chat and email is being looked at -- just live that way and you'll be fine.
