As displacements cut LOBs deeper, retirements the new norm, and morale sinking why would leaders think it's a good time to mix and mingle in hub markets? Just learned leaders are touching down in PHX and MN this week.

Let them go on whatever boondoggles they want. They're pretty much useless anyway. A bunch of buffoons from TK on down.

For all their talk about cost efficiencies, the TLT visits core markets MONTHLY for in-person "strategy sessions" and fancy dinners. They take the opportunity to summon the chattle slaves at each location to humiliate them and make them dance in front of them for attention. So sometime this year locals will see them in SF, MN, AZ, NY, TX and India (did I miss any?)
@wbb+1snL3efX Honestly I don’t many would complain if they didn’t do this.
Thanks to those who gave a thoughtful reply. This is my 1st role at a bank, and I haven’t been here long enough to understand the why's and how's of technology leaders.
I’m not looking forward to staying late just to ‘meet’ the leaders.
I think you answered your own question Shakespeare
Each of our execs travel to a different core location every quarter. We have 4 core locations defined.
Why not? They get to live in hotels, eat and drink on the bank, spend a few hours in meetings, and pretend they’re doing something important. It’s a perk.
Who exactly is traveling
Meanwhile the union presence continues to grow..because Charlie scharf isn't doing his job. And so the advisors continue to show their poor judgment and lack of a moral compass by selling sl--e to clients.
Old news
Yes, hubs and low morale, so they show their faces for some easy PR. You’d be whining about it if they didn’t too. You can never please the cranks.
You’ve certainly mastered their skill of pompously saying nothing substantive, OP
Dog and pony show!
I would imagine they want to show up to boost those still employed (because they’re in a hub) and their love and support and pontificate about what a great bank they’re running….
