Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Changes/layoffs in Wholesale

Seems like more layoffs and changes are coming in wholesale. Having a tough time figuring out what the heck we are doing. Do others have concerns on where this is going?

Hranicky put out a location strategy doc. Plain and simple if you wfh or are in noncore city you will lose job (unless in front of customer) or be asked to move in next few years.

Wholesale has been and continues to be a cluster. There is no strategy other than move jobs to India for expense savings. Doesn’t matter if they find qualified people to do the job there or not…move, deal with the fallout later. Show “savings” of 75% of US salary costs plus benefits and you’re rewarded.
I was a senior leader there but retired end of last year. I just couldn’t stomach the inanity any longer.

If your area is less profitable than it should be then you should be concerned. There are some that have been touched in the past with layoffs but due to doing well will survive with very few or no layoffs.

What we're doing = outsourcing, contracting, and automating every possible job in the company--except executives.
