Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Toodles!

In Beaverton’s bubble, where sneaker tales grow dim,
Old Phil’s twilight looms, his vigor now pale and slim.
Laid off, I chuckle at the scene left behind,
Kooks in their swag, to corporate tunes blind.
“Chasing crumbs, in sweatshop shadows they bask,”
I muse, free at last from their masquerade task.

The first post was eerily creepy. You need to get out of the office more, my guy or girl

I hear your frustration loud and clear. It’s true that JD has his work cut out for him, rebuilding trust and integrity after the mess left by MP and the old guard, including Phil.

We're not all blind followers that remain; some of us are here trying to steer this ship in a better direction from the inside. Good luck in your future endeavors and I hope you find a place where you can continue to advocate for change that Nike to you seems to have lost.

It's safe to say RLM didn't just sip the kool-aid, they're chugging it. What an embarrassingly out of touch reply. Is this JDs burner account?

It's not about the job loss, my friend, it's about waking up to the realities that surround us—beyond the fancy buildings and 50% discount. Maybe one day, you’ll see beyond the corporate scripts. Until then, keep your laces tight and your blinders on. Stay safe on that treadmill.

Wow, I can't believe the negativity and bitterness some people leave with. It’s really sad to see someone so out of touch with reality and so ungrateful for the opportunities they were given. Nike is a world-class organization, committed to innovation and excellence. It’s not just about “swag and crumbs”; it’s about being part of something bigger, a legacy of greatness.

Calling us “kooks”? Really mature. Maybe if you spent more time focusing on your role instead of criticizing from the sidelines, you wouldn't be in this situation. We're proud of what we do here and the impact we make worldwide.

And as for Phil, he’s a visionary leader who’s done more for the sports and footwear industry than anyone. To hint at his death in such a disrespectful way is beyond poor taste. Maybe you should check your facts and your attitude at the door next time.

Stay positive and maybe you’ll find a job that can handle your sunny disposition.
