But why TF would you want to? Don’t go back to an abusive relationship.

This is the truth, all other posts seem to have it slightly wrong:

If you are let go, you can come back as a contract immediately.

If you voluntarily leave, there is officially a 180 day waiting period before you can come back on contract, however if you have somebody willing to push, you can come back before that.

MANY contract roles are immediate need roles that are typically filled at arms length, they aren’t planned months in advance.

i was laid off early 2023, paid thru april 2023 and came back on a contract in 2-3 months later. it did not jeapordize my severance.

Why would anyone want to rush back to nike after being let go? Like at least take some time to process before you rush back to your toxic ex.

That’s not how contracts work. They have to be applied for and validated months in advance.

It’s a 6 month wait to come back as a contractor according to HR.

Not all contract roles. I work in NA and know of someone in GPS (part of round one) that was an exception. But he had to ask multiple times if it was ok, to be sure it didn’t jeopardize his severance, was given the run around and then told that he was the exception.

I think the official policy is a six month break before returning as an ETW

I think it's important to be clear you are not joining Nike. You would be hired by a body shop and placed on a project at Nike project. Being an ETW is a 2nd class citizen at WHQ. If you need to get back to a full paycheck ASAP consider all the placement agencies and the opportunities & benefits the contract companies can provide YOU.

One of my colleagues left nike recently and they could come back as ETW after 90 days … not sure if this applies to all contracts roles but it sounds right.
