Mass contractor exodus maybe
Do you still receive your full psp bonus if you leave after 6/1?
There won’t be a mass exodus. A few people will leave. Mostly high performers who have other options. Almost everyone else is stuck or too afraid to take the leap. People are a lot more cautious with their livelihood and income than the OP realizes.
@1hvq+1sPHJMfC As someone who worked as a 35 and 40, I can confirm Nike still pays the most. I’ve been looking and offers have all been less with no room for negotiation
The people getting stocks/options are the only ones that think Nike pays "well" enough to deal with the BS and also coast along.
There's a whole other layer below that have to actually do the trench work, deal with the BS, AND get paid poorly.
Coming from two employers before Nike, generally here is better, but it isn’t perfect. Most of the time we switch strategies pretty rapidly which creates turmoil in the organizations, but ultimately I am “happier” here than my past two. Which both prior employers went to 5 days in the office pretty soon after “Covid was gone”.
Probably the thing I hate here the most of the backstabbing and general bullcr-p you have to put with, but I had some folks like that at my prior jobs. I think people are generally more competitive here like pretending to be some athlete or was an athlete. It’s the only thing they’ve ever known.
But pay is good, options/stock fairly good, even though it’s been down, overall most IC are fairly intelligent. 7/10.
I could be working at meta or Nvidia, getting tons of cash but also hate my work life balance. At least Nike “attempts” to focus on that.
You folks have lost all perspective.
This is not a thing.
Cry harder children.
Nike literally pays 30-50% more than competitors unless you’re in tech. Adidas, the second largest competitor at Director is the same as a senior manager salary at Nike.
Nike is a great place to work. Those complaining haven’t worked in another company that allows them to coast as much as Nike does.
Says who? They can get and leave but the job market even for top performers is poor at best. This is a great and funny thought but the possibility of that many people finding good jobs right now is minimal- most are chained by the golden handcuffs
Now all the high performers will leave… leaving the lifers. The losers who went to UofO and OSU.. the people who just want to coast and go to JDI.. the complainers… the ones who dont want to come in Monday …
Good luck senior leaders!
Did a lot of people dip last year after June 1st? I felt like a lot hung around. I know the job market su-ks but maybe all the people dipping right now have the upper hand on the Laid off…
✌🏻
LOL Nike in no way values any of its employees. High performers got whacked, it’s only a matter of time until phase 3 starts. The useless D-Bag JD only knows one thing, reduce cost by the easiest means possible. There is at least another billion worth of jobs to be cut. Buckle up your day is coming.
Congrats to those who made it, Nike really values you as an employee 👏
