I also reported to HR about Nike's toxicity, brought on by the RAT and his Kohls gang. I was pushed out in favor of the Kohls cronies when I wouldn't go along with my boss's shady ways. I had email and slack messages to back up my case. An investigation was done, and my boss got wind of it, so he went on sudden medical leave to avoid his fate. Eventually, he was pushed out, but his Kohls cronies took my place and are operating in the same crooked manner. The difference is now they are smart enough not to put it in writing. Apparently, this is how they roll at Kohls, so they think this is normal and acceptable.
I went to Business Insider with my story. I sought the advice of a lawyer, who said if Nike chose to fight this, I would be bled dry. I decided to leave.
To OP and the others who spoke up, good for you all for doing the right thing. You probably suffered a great personal cost for doing this. Sometimes our only reward is knowing that we preserved our sense of integrity in doing the right thing.
