I’ve been at Nike almost 20 years (currently a senior Director) and the last five have been dedicated to fixing internal problems, observing our leaders display anything but leadership defined behaviors, and watching what was left of our amazing culture evaporate.

A year ago I decided to focus on my team, step away from the political corporate climb, and truly try and make an inspiring and desirable work environment. I have fulfilled these three actions - and - I am damn proud of it.

I’m getting laid off on Monday. I’ve had so many _ _ _k y_ _ Nike moments over the past year. It’s been restorative and freeing. I’m ready to turn the page.

Well at least they do face to face axing. I got mine via a room with a camera and remote ja-ka-s giving me the axe after 20 year. And guess what company does it this way starts with C and ends up in India.

quite frankly, u are there 20y and getting prolly a really good paycheck now, could take it as a really big bonus with the axe and they gotta pay u a cr-p ton, i honestly doubt u need to work anymore now unless u have really big commitments,

think u shld feel happy instead 😃

@ybn- could be the demotion or severance deal and after thinking on it, they’re ready to call it a day and take severance.. Some people had until Monday with this decision.

This post is perfection. You (clearly) aren’t my SD, but I wish you were. Nike has lost the people managers & inspirational folks. And no matter how many shoes we sell, that is a piece we can’t put an $ value on to budget back in.
