Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

If they are reading our posts, some of us have questions.

Apparently, the timeline for closing the Richmond call center is sooner now than 2-4 years. When will it be closing exactly? Will they be laying off employees before the call center closes? Lastly, was the building sold? Thank you in advance.

Apparently, someone (a possible internet troll) is gaslighting this post. The real Uncle Charlie would spell chainsaw correctly when signing where most of us sign anonymous. Just saying.

There was never an email shared with me that said NOW or 2-4 years. I was quoted the 2-4 year timeframe from the people I work for from the time we were told verbally the layoffs are coming.

You need to reread the email. It doesn’t say change in 2 to 4 yr time frame it says change from NOW to next 2-4 years. Tomorrow fits that timeframe. I’m not saying you should like it but it’s clear in these emails as I have read many of them.

Most will not make that timeframe due to non-Core location, regardless of building sale.

Thank you for your response. The very fancy elevators was a huge clue for me too.

Based on the pace of improvements to the Innslake building over the past couple months, like paint, carpet, elevators, doors, security badge readers, prettying up of the landscaping, and probably more that we don't see, I'd be surprised if it takes wells more than a year to close the office.

It's a fun environment to have construction going on in the background of your calls, knowing that the construction is happening so that wells can quickly sell the building once they lay you off.

Also, that's not call center specific. There are also back office employees in the same complex. Since Richmond has not been designated as a core location for any line of business, they will be laid off as well. I'd be surprised if this group makes it more than a year as well.
