Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Half of My Team Hired Through Backdoor Channels Come from JPM Bank

It is a fact that we've split into two factions, the WF Group and the JP Group. There's little collaboration, internal politics reign, and a lack of trust. We are not far from total sc--w up! Great job Chain Shaw!

A job offer from WF is like a marriage proposal from Henry VIII.

I love a good competitive job selection process, what I don't like is people tipping the scales.

Whether it's through the network, relationship, back door or the side door, it's still an unjust method of selection that doesn't offer equal opportunity to all applicants. Unfair practices like cheating disadvantage genuinely talented candidates.

I don't use a backdoor. I use many personal connections to get a new job through a side door.

You mean networking? People complain about networking, collaboration, etc. but this how people get jobs. Not just sitting at home behind a computer and sending emails from your basement.

A backdoor channel is actually the best way to get a new job, and in some cases, it is the only way to get a new job. It is very difficult to get a new job by yourself in this bad job market.

No one in India wants WF "tech". JPM doesn't want hardly any WF assets either. If we don't turn this around we'll wind up like Sears.

I was brought into Wells Fargo by my previous manager from JP Morgan. Wells Fargo might be slightly worse, but JP Morgan was also toxic in a certain way. I think all these big banks have the similar toxic environment. I just try to go with the flow because I don't have much control anyway.

I am a former JPM employee … but have made a couple of stops prior to joining Wells Fargo … and I have to admit … I prefer JPM. The stagecoach processes are dog sh-t, incredibly inefficient, and full of folks with 10+ years that are completely worthless.

Their long term plan is to further downsize Wells Fargo, and eventually sell the business portion to JP Morgan, sell the technology portion to an Indian company.
