I created a hotspot with my phone, but my laptop would not let me connect

Thanks I changed password and it worked!!
You have to rename your phone to something like "XYZwifi". If you leave it as "iphone" it wont connect.
@xrr+1s0HWNHh I’d toss in an inadvertently racist (at minimum a stereotyping) remark here about our Indian support staff …… except 9 out of 10 US employees I’ve gotten are absolutely just as bad.
Called in about hyper as I had switched devices. One time US employee knew what exactly was going on. Had to perform an additional reset and the clearly POC US employee refused to go off script or even listen to what was being said. So I just said
“Doing it now,” “all done”. Etc etc while not doing anything until he got to the point of resetting. The account
Glad we could fix tech problems here.... maybe we should route all the Tech Connect calls here instead for waiting forever.
Make sure your hotspot password is something complicated or the connection will be blocked

Same issue I'm having. As of 2 days ago, my mobile Hotspot no longer works.
Check your settings under Internet access. Click the Wi-Fi symbol on the bottom right of the windows bar. Then click on the hot spot "properties," make sure it's set to private not public access.
Should fix it.
I use a hotspot all the time when on the road. Just like WiFi at home, you need to use myEd
