Wells Fargo isn't an India bank though, so it DOES matter to Americans where the headcount is. WF marketing keeps pretending this is an American bank that serves the local communities in America. However it doesn't anymore. It's an Asian bank that su-ks money out of America to send it to Asia - and Hudson Yards, Manhattan.
That's what I'd call a medium term goal. Regardless, Shart doesn't want any of us to be part of that total headcount, so the total number doesn't mean much relative to our future.
No, it doesn’t matter if the numbers are shifting between the US and everywhere else. He has made it abundantly clear that they are reducing our headcount into the high 175-180’s. That is total worldwide headcount.
I believe the 232K employee count that keeps ticking downward includes employees worldwide. What is slow to register is those who have been laid off, who are still on notice (60 or 90 days).
Where are you finding these numbers?
Yes, you need to used advanced and include country. It's routine to bring I&P numbers up as ours tank.
You can’t just look at total count. OFfshore numbers might increase, so the total onshore reduction might be even bigger.
10k plus and counting
