They are laying off workers and replacing them with overseas Filipino workers that they can pay lousy wages to, and not give any benefits. It is a garbage company.

WF is not reporting all employees as laid off. If your position is being replaced like for example India, you are not listed as laid off to the State.

WF intentionally structures layoffs to avoid warn notices. Bad PR to have too many of those. What you see in the ones we do have is a very tiny tip of the iceberg. 12k people got downsized in 2023. How many WARN notices do you remember seeing? A few, and for no where near 12k people. The vast majority are laid off without one.

Was just coming to agree with the above. This is a drop in the hat of the Iowa population that works for wells. We are extremely lucky it hasn’t been more!

These were people who worked at home. It’s me, hi, I’m one of those people.

A lot of opportunities to shed there. Can find much higher quality replacements in Minneapolis and Charlotte.

So 58 employees out of the 27,000 crammed into the Jordan Creek campus have been let go?

The Des Moines Register must really scramble for news when it’s not State Fair time with big butter sculpture reveals.
