Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Florida

Has any LOB identified any of our FL locations as a hub or specialty market? We have almost 8k people in the state but it never gets mentioned as part of the location strategy. Are the non-retail employees in FL doomed?

SLC is a core location for WIM and Ops.

Nothing in Florida, CSuite would rather pay ridiculous taxes and salaries in other states. There are quite a lot of remote workers in Florida and all of them are in jeopardy. Very sad and disturbing to watch talent be thrown out like garbage to satisfy someone’s oversized ego.

FL, CO, OR, SD, GA, any other states we're pulling out of? We'll be an archipelago regional bank pretty soon. How about UT? We have some people in SLC. They going away to, or has some LOB listed them as a specialty location?

One of FCRMs managers or director not sure was kicked out of their building along with 2-3 people. Now completely remote.

I know of CIB people who moved to Florida during covid, so there are people there although not many. I am sure they are going to be displaced at some point.

So far, I have not seen Florida on any of the core lists. Georgia is another one that seems like there are a lot of people there, but also not core.

No FL hub location exists for any LOB.

Jacksonville
Orlando
Miami. Yes even Met 2

All will be stripped down to just client facing people

There's only 125 WFC people in that building. We've bailed on buildings with 10x that many over the last several years. Not saying that it's closing for sure, but I definitely wouldn't count on our existing presence there as a guarantee of anything.

Yes, Florida and Denver is doomed for most of WF none customer facing roles.

@spj+1rIGiNOS - would be surprised if they ever approved a business case for a CIB employee to be based in Florida. If they did, then kudos to that employee and shame on Jane Weiss.

It is not a hub or specialty market for CIB. Any CIB employees located in Florida will be displaced unless they get permission to move.

There are about 15-18 people per branch in Florida. You can run a moderate sized retail unit with 6 employees if you have tech from 2010s and know what you are doing.

The only Floridian permitted is the COO executive who resides in Tampa, who carries on water cooler conversations with just himself and his executive assistant.

Woke Fargo will never have any sort of hub in Florida. The optics would be unbearable to the DEI faction.

If you don’t have a hub on the “approved” site strategy list for your LOB- yes you are doomed.
