I highly doubt part time workers in the stores will be impacted since we still need to keep the stores open. 2% make it sound small, but it is probably more like 8% of corporate employees. I would've liked it better if JD was more straight forward and said "8% of corporate" instead of "2% all of Nike."
Read the email. Store athletes, front line, DC, AirMI not impacted. So more like 2% of ~20,000. Maybe in the 400-600 range. Nothing on this rumor was correct
@ucm: 8-10% of corporate workers roughly equals about 2% of entire workforce (retail, DCs, etc.)
