Location strategy for Wholesale Operations

We got our location strategy email this morning. It was pretty similar to other ones that have been discussed here. Most new positions will be posted in:
Charlotte metro
Dallas metro
Des Moines
Chicago metro
Minneapolis
NY metro
Phoenix metro
Roanoke
St Louis
SLC
San Antonio
Employees working in those markets who are working remote are expected to return to the office (it didn’t clarify if those working hybrid weren’t able to work from home at all anymore). Wholesale Operations will be exiting all other markets within the next 2-3 years.

I am NOT in one of those markets, so I expect to be displaced anytime between now and 2027.

“Specialty market” location is from Saul’s email. It affects the business. The above topic is ops. Both consumer ops and wholesale ops have similar messages but core locations could be different across all 3. PHX and CLT appear to be on most lists.

I will say that the person who said Wholesale Operations is all operations is not correct. They are thinking of Global Operations. All operations teams are under that umbrella but there are certainly still smaller divisions within Global Operations, of which Wholesale Operations is one. We don’t handle anything consumer. It’s all business related.

The only skill you need is to be in India and willing to work for Indian wages. Hudson Yards doesn't care about any other skills. In fact, that more skill you have, the MORE they want to outsource you. Highly skilled Americans cost to much money (in their eyes).

@ksb+1r2mu6rg Good thing you don’t have the skills that would warrant a relo offer then.

WF could double my salary and I still wouldn’t uproot my family and relocate for them. I don’t trust them to not lay me off 6 months later.

Too many people. A lot of the locations are hubs because there are simply too many people to layoff, rehire etc.

Downtown St. Louis is a dump. WF should pull the whole freakin crew out of there.

I thought San Francisco was a specialty market

@uwc+1r2mu6rg

It looks like there are no speciality hubs and this applies all operations under GM which includes Wholesale and WIM.

Curious, for remote RTO, are they giving 60 days to RTO from today or will they be individually notified and then X amount of days to RTO?
