Portland location update?

Didn't someone report that 2/13 was a notification day? What's the latest, Portlanders?

@2tag+1r2HysVF If your manager will change it….our mgr wouldn’t-not sure if he was just being the total jerk he has always been (thinks he’s Charlie)

Lease in the tower isn't up for another 4 years, if you really do want to stay I'd suggest getting with your manager to change your assigned location NOW. When the axe falls, it likely won't be an option.to switch buildings at that point.

Is the Portland Tower staying open? I thought ALL Oregon operational sites were closing down in 2-4 years?

Unless the trend of layoffs has changed, the next notification date would be 2/20, the Tuesday after payday.

No one in Barnhard is safe and we are living 2 weeks at a time.

No LOB has listed anything in Portland as a keeper. They'll all close in the next 2-3 years. Not including client facing teams in Commercial and WIM, etc

I'm at Barnhart and I've heard rumors that we may close as early as June of this year. I usually don't think of rumors as being credible, but all of the ones I've heard so far have turned out to be true.

Those of us in admin roles haven't been given any concrete information on relocation strategy, or much information in general. However my team was just moved under Global Operations. If they offered me a spot at the Tower I would probably stay with the company. My commute would even be shorter.

I have very little interest in moving to any of the other sites that I've heard are being offered to our group. I'm not comfortable taking the risk of uprooting our lives, moving to a different state, only to risk being laid off or let go anyway.

People need to update their location then, SP still shows 40 something people in look up. Doh

I’ve heard that Barnhart is looking at a closing date by December 2025. Not sure how that affects everyone who is currently there though, lots of people were moved there when Sunset closed and who will be prioritized first in being let go.

Tower is restacking -prolly only very small number of admin will remain ….

SP and BC, but I'm sure Salem isn't far behind and I can see the tower getting further "consolidated" as well.

Which site specifically are you talking about? Yes the sites are closing, but each at different times, and more than likely-layoffs at different multiple times within each site per LOB.

unless Portland has been in the works for months with HR (a possibility) the location announcements last week arent going to result in layoffs for quite a while.
