Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Severance started...

New to this wonderful world of being laid off by wf. Although I'm enjoying the staycation...it would be nice to get my severance. For those of you that have been laid off...when did the severance pay start after the initial 2 months was over? Was it the next regular pay schedule or did you have to wait for things to kick in? THANKS all and for those of you still there...keep your chin up. You too could be on a staycation very soon. ha ha

Mine never stopped, and i also got to apply for unemployment after the 60-day notice. That was frickn great. No idea wtf the guy was talking about getting it after three weeks, fake! In other words, 9 months of vacation pay along with 4 months of unemployment on top of that.

My last regular paycheck (which included my unused PTO) and my first severance payment were received on the same date.

It's called pay continuation for a reason.

For me, there was no interruption in payments.

I kept collecting my 'salary' ever two weeks until severance was over.

OP-- just as @unf+1qSzwdVT stated, severance will start after 60 day notice.
honestly, its bittersweet. I really liked my job--just hated what has happened to WF. When I was asked by people where I worked, they would wince at WF, but I smiled and said it was paying the bills. best of luck to you and others in this situation.

My first severance check came in 3 weeks after my 60-day checks stopped instead of 2 for some odd reason but the period start/end dates all appear to line up. They've been coming in every 2 weeks ever since. If you're owed PTO, that'll come in a separate check on the last day of your notice period.

should be on a normal pay cycle. if you didn't get paid today, you should reach out to HR and your former manager to escalate
