How many gave their notice today after bonuses hit their account? I did! I'm hopeful I saved someone who wanted to keep their job. And I apologize if I kept anyone from a severance package. I know this is not an airport, but am excited to be announcing my departure!!!

I retired from Wells last year, gave my 60 days, but was offered a consulting job before the notice period was up. No one ever found out. The job required a security clearance, too. So not sure Wells does more than just verify your employment dates.
They could, but will they? I question if they care or are competent. Better to be safe and work side gigs for cash.
@1bic+1qSqhAGH this is incredibly easy for them to find out. A vast majority of employers report to services like The Work Number and WF could very easily find out if you start a new job.
How would Wells find out if you have another job? They are not big brother. Can’t check your tax records, etc.
I know it’s already been discussed some here, but they may be able to claw back the severance package if they find out you started a new job before the notice period ends (as you’re still technically a WFC employee during that time even if they don’t have you working). I’m assuming you already have a job offer in hand, since you said you’re holding out for that. Doubt it will, but if it did, you’d maybe want to see if your new company could delay your start date until after the notice period ends.
You could have left earlier. Bo is still would have been paid out of legal obligation
Love the stories, but unfortunately for me I do not get a bonus so I will wait until I get my severance package and then I can celebrate.
I'm waiting until after next Tuesday, just in case my team is finally getting severed. I'm hoping for a last-minute miracle for all that extra severance, otherwise I'm out the door too.
I did and did a happy dance in the parking lot bc I'm starting a new 100% WFH job w/better compensation and benefits!
Gave the finger and walked out today
