You should've left 2022. At least the pension would be fuller.

Just ask. What does it matter? You’ll be laid off in the next month or a year. No loyalty f%#ks need to be given.

"Give Rule of 75 employees at least 2yrs of the pre Medicare medical benefit back and a lot would leave on their own."

Union members still get premedicare Healthcare coverage.

You could be stuck in cyber with no chance at a severance until you transition to newco. Where you will then will be classified as a new employee with no severance at all but cut all the same.

"Anyone who says they would like to leave and don't get selected next round. Just work 6 more months than quit if you are telling the truth, guessing you're not. "

No. Working 6 more months is not the same as receiving 6 months severance. Try harder, little troll.

Me too. Already told my boss to put me in the next layoff, if possible.

I did the same, was hoping to get selected for the 1/24 surplus. Did not, and so little posted on this site about that I think it was small in scope. If there is a surplus on 2/22, as per the calendar, maybe we will make that list. Rank and stack to be completed by 2/4 with names to be finalized on 2/7 for that cut.

You won’t be laid off. Someone needs to do the work the favorites tell the boss they don’t like.

This is exactly what the problem is with AT&T...the people that would like to leave can't and the people that want to stay can't! This is an easy fix for T, but they're too myopic to see or even understand their own problem. They're just hellbent on doing it their way, PERIOD! Get with the program, T...poll your employees to get an understanding on where they stand or what their ambitions are!!!

Same. Have asked to be voted off the island next time our group gets hit.

5-5-1 offer is a big dream, so wake up, it's not gonna happen! The best you can get if your contract calls for it is 2 years of severance if you have 31 years of service or more!

If they gave me a severance package, I would take it.

That's the irony of this layoff in disguise. There are people like me who want to leave and ones who don't and they can't even figure out a good way to do a layoff.

Instead I'm just doing enough to get bye. So call me part of the problem if you want to, but their whole system is the real problem.
