That thought that giving people 2 days notice before a forced transition to VDI was a good idea, when we all know it takes tech at least a week to respond to any request, including putting a stop to something like this? Good lord.

“ Last I heard your employer is supposed to provide you with the equipment to do your job.”
Wells does provide everything. You just have to go in to the office to use it. Nowhere does anything say it is required to provide us equipment to WFH.
Not everyone was given that opportunity, so 'no'.
Welp if you had read the email when you were given the opportunity to test and provide feedback months prior perhaps you wouldn’t be in a position where you are surprised by the transition to wave exclusive.
Why can't people take the hint? Don't you all see what's happening? Another brilliant get them to move out faster play by the WF think tank. Forced transition to VDI. Two days notice. Pay your own way in. Many issues. Less support. It's a company equivalent of finding the mother lode.
They want you gone!
OMG - I hope they displace me before VDI. Does that require me to use my own PC? Cause that is not going to happen. Last I heard your employer is supposed to provide you with the equipment to do your job.
Side note - I just had the One Drive migration. Stuff that I deleted months, in some cases years ago has magically reappeared.
Tim, I do not want to hear about it all day and then read again here!
Nightmare.
VDI is a joke. Welcome to the clown club. Costs me an extra five min per day on avg and nope, I am not taking that from my free time. This is a Technology goof up. Who is Leo?
WF accepts downtime as part of one's measured productivity. Spending time chasing down tech issues is no more valuable to the company than doing one's actual job.
At least that is my experience. All work is arbitrary here.
Good old Leo.
I've had to call the help desk 3 times due to VDI. Thankfully, the help desk spoke English, I just couldn't understand what type of English. The second help desk person reset my VDI after I had just finished setting it up, causing the third call to the help desk. Fun times! Please displace me!
