Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Well well, corporate America has done it again

The Board gave Chuck a huge raise, while the rest of you live in daily fear of whether you will be chain-sawed or have your job outsourced to India. What a truly sc-m-bag move, but it's been that way for years and its do as I say, not as I do.

Don't forget, Carrie T. is enjoying house arrest in her mansion for the biggest fraud scandal in bank history. Stumpfy lives in a mega mansion and is enjoying a cushy retirement.

All I heard when I worked there was how they need to tighten the belts, cut back on spending, can't buy a pizza for your team, but they sure don't spare a dollar when it comes to CEO comp expense do they!?

Remember all of this next time you think about working late or coming in early to go the extra mile and get a 1% raise for it.

it is always an advantage to come from an affluent background, nothing to do with race. Look at AOC, she is borderline r-tarded but got a free ride through college, daddy paid, and has an economic degree from a $80K per year school and knows nothing. She is now worth $29 million. Must be nice to be an attractive female h-panic in a h-spanic district that sent her to congress to get rich. Also plenty of other people here just to fill a percentage and not qualified pulling down serious $ and will never be asked to leave. To me that is privileged. Even if you think CS stinks it has nothing to do with race.

This kind of hate speech needs to end. What are you even talking about? Most CEOs of banks are not even Jewish. Spreading hate will only make you a more miserable person than you already are.

Soo many people didn't get any sort of merit increase this year due to our financial situation, but he can get a multi-million dollar raise, despite not meeting his key objectives. Makes perfect sense /s

I'm fine with Charlie or any other corporate CEO making millions each year, came to terms with that years ago, but when we are giving our executive large raises while at the same time only giving the rank and file 3% if you're lucky in a good year; it's a slap in the face and further erodes morale.

Wells Fargo is a toxic, shitshow and dumpster fire all rolled into one. Let's celebrate!

I stopped going above and beyond two years ago. I refuse to ‘volunteer’ for any additional assignments.
Wells took one of their high producers and pretty much beat them down to lose all morale. Multiple factors caused this - RTO, constant threat of layoff, sending a large percentage of jobs to India, and refusing to acknowledge the contributions of their largest demographic in their communications.
I’m done.

Didn't Citi just have their worst quarter ever? They are very late to the layoff game too, 2 years behind WF in that regard.

We need to ask Scharf during next Town Hall (anonymously, unless brave enough to provide names):

• Charlie, what did you do in 2023 to deserve such a massive bonus? Asset cap still in place, employee morale at all-time low, etc. What rating on 5-scale would you give yourself?

• Charlie, why are employees losing their jobs and careers, yet you don't even take a pay cut? Aren't CEOs supposed to tighten their belts when they ask employees to do the same?

• Charlie, why did you say you weren't familiar with "hub strategy", when that very strategy is being rolled out for weeks by your direct reports, negatively affecting employees' lives? How could someone worthy of such high compensation not be aware of what's going on in his company and among his leadership? Or were you actually aware and purposely misled your employees?

It's good to be a white privileged male from an affluent background.
